My family moved to Gympie from Brisbane over 5 years ago, we originally came to visit some friends and fell in love with the countryside and here we are 5 years later with 3 kids. Team Leader and Support Worker
Jaala
With over 17 years of experience in the care sector, I began my career as an Early Childhood Educator, dedicating 7 years to nurturing young minds and supporting their developmental needs. After a break to raise my own children, I transitioned into aged care, spending 6 fulfilling years providing support and companionship to older adults. My passion for helping others naturally led me to specialize in disability support, where I have been working for several years. Outside of work, I cherish spending quality time with my family. I enjoy working on our property, building and fixing things, while caring for our animals, including a horse, chickens, and a dog, which keeps me grounded and fulfilled. I also love renovating spaces, allowing my creativity to flourish, and exploring new adventures with my loved ones. These hobbies enrich my life and help me bring a fresh perspective to my role as a support worker. As a dedicated support worker with extensive experience across various age groups and needs, I am committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those I support. My journey has equipped me with the skills and compassion necessary to lead with empathy and inspire others in the field.

Jess
I have lived in Gympie all my life. I am a mother to a beautiful little girl, and I also have a fur baby, she is a French bulldog named Winnie. I enjoy doing any type of Arts n Crafts and furniture restoration as I have done a fair bit of my own furniture this way. I love getting out and about going to the beach, going on walks and relaxing with a bit of fishing. I like getting into the gym for some workouts when I can, I also love swimming and soccer as my favorite sports.
I also don’t mind some time inside playing some video games and watching movies or even some board games. I love all the girly things doing makeup, nails as I do have a Cert II in Nail Technology (though it’s been awhile since I have done this but enjoy it) and of course some good shopping.
I have been a Support Worker for 2 years now and loving every part of it, previously to this I was working in medical and mental/allied health. I believe I’m a caring and compassionate person and will always do what is best for your loved one.
